Abstract

Abstract: In recent years, late pregnancy has become a global phenomenon and, although birth rates are decreasing, the average maternal age has constantly increased. Therefore, there is a greater maternal and perinatal risk in women who become pregnant later. Objective: analyze the epidemiological profile and information about the birth of pregnant women, aged between 35 and 49 years, during the period from 2010 to 2020, in Ribeirão Preto- (SP). Methodology: Data collection was carried out in Datasus, through Tabnet- SISVAN, of the epidemiological profile of pregnant women aged 35 to 49 years and information about their births during the period from 2010 to 2020, in Ribeirão Preto-SP.  Results: The pregnant women analyzed were 16,030, and represent 17.53% of the total number of pregnant women in the same period in Ribeirão Preto- SP. Regarding the profile of pregnant women aged between 35 and 49 years, 12,670 (79.03%) considered themselves white. Regarding marital status, 9,738 (60.75%) were married. Regarding monitoring during pregnancy, 9,530 (59%) received more than adequate prenatal care. Regarding education, 7,512 pregnant women (46.8%) have studied for 12 years or more. Conclusion: From the data obtained, it is concluded that there was a high rate of pregnancy among women aged between 35 years and 49 years, from 2010 to 2020. The vast majority of pregnant women analyzed, 10,269 underwent adequate, intermediate prenatal care, or more than adequate (64% of the total number), favoring a good pregnancy outcome for mother and baby.
