Conhecimento e práticas inter e multiprofissionais: um olhar dos profissionais da atenção primária à saúde
Abstract
Aim: to analyze the perception of health workers about inter and multiprofessional knowledge and practices in Primary Health Care. Methodology: qualitative, exploratory and field research, based on a historical-structural-dialectical materialism approach, carried out in a small municipality in the Central East health region of Bahia. Eighteen health workers working in the PHC of the municipality participated in the research and were invited in person; this number was defined through the data saturation technique. Data were collected in person through recorded semi-structured interviews. Thematic analysis was used to interpret the data. The work was approved by the Ethics and Research Committee with Human Beings of the State University of Bahia. Results: They formed two empirical categories: concepts about inter and multiprofessionality; and Interprofessional practices: the professionals' perspective. The research revealed that there is little knowledge regarding the concepts studied, despite valuing teamwork and carrying out actions in this perspective.. Therefore, it is common to have daily actions based on multiprofessionality and some that advance towards interprofessionality, which should be based on strengthening team communication, the commitment to permanent education as a transformative action and collaborative practice as an essential tool.. Final considerations: It is important to expand the concepts in the training processes, so that practices of an interprofessional nature are recognized for their ability to qualify care, make it resolute and capable of meeting the needs of users.
