A utilização do Modular Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment – Moodle© no processo de ensino e aprendizagem nos cursos de Medicina no Brasil.
Abstract
The Moodle platform is used to support active teaching-learning methodologies, such as problem-based learning (PBL) and the use of reflective portfolios throughout the whole process of medical formation. Even during the period of COVID-19 pandemic, Moodle stood out for its ability to promote student autonomy, allowing medical students to investigate clinical cases, collaborate in discussion forums and receive immediate feedback from professors. The present study aimed to analyze how Moodle tools are used in Medical courses and their influence on teaching and learning in Brazil. As a scientific research method, this study adopted bibliographic research in the main databases of scientific articles and searched for publications between 2015 and 2025, using the keywords “Moodle”, “Medicine”, “Teaching and learning”, “Active methodologies” and “Digital teaching”. A total of 3,240 scientific papers were found in the searching process and, after analysis and judicious exclusion, thirty articles were selected and enlightened the questions of the present study. In conclusion, it was observed that in the last 10 years, Moodle has consolidated itself as an essential tool in medical teaching, providing a Learning Management System (LMS) that facilitates the integration between theory and practice, in its most diverse possibilities for developing skills and in academic interactivity.
